# How insights work

> How Pillow turns interviews into insights you can read and question.

Once interviews come in, Pillow analyzes them for you in two ways. The **Overview** tab surfaces patterns automatically, and **Ask Pillow** answers the questions you bring.

## Overview

The **Overview** tab surfaces the key patterns across all your interviews: the questions your agent asked most often and how participants answered them. You get this read automatically, without asking.

<Info>
  Overview becomes available once a study reaches **100 interviews**, the point where patterns become reliable.
</Info>

## Ask Pillow

Ask Pillow answers questions about your data in plain language, grounded in your interviews, with source references you can click to read the original transcript. Where Overview shows the patterns it found, Ask Pillow answers the specific questions you bring.

## Summaries and grades

Every interview is summarized into a headline and a few key points, and graded for how rich its responses are. The strongest interviews get an **A** or **A+** badge, so you can find them in the list. See [Review interviews](/guides/review-interviews).
